Welcome to the Hotel St. Eia
Hotel St. Eia is a family run hotel offering excellent accommodation, overlooking the beautiful, world renown, St. Ives Bay in Cornwall.
The famous Cornish resort of St Ives is loved by tens of thousands of visitors each year for its superb beaches, its narrow streets and courtyards, its glittering sea and clear air and for its hospitable people. Like all of West Cornwall, St Ives seems more like a slice of the Mediterranean, yet it remains reassuringly British
The Island, though not an island, is a cherished symbol of Old St Ives. The Island has remained an open space to this day because it was traditionally for mending fishing nets & for drying washing. The chapel of St Nicholas stands proudly on the top.
As well as the Tate Gallery, the town's many other galleries add to the general quality and pleasure of the St Ives artistic experience, as does the September Festival, a two-week celebration of arts and music. There is also an excellent town museum at Wheal Dream, just north of Smeatons Pier.
The heart of St Ives is its picturesque harbour where fishing boats still bob on the tide. The harbour is sheltered from the westerly and northerly winds by Smeatons Pier, built in 1770 to the design of John Smeaton. At the entrance to West Pier stands the modern lifeboat house, a constant reminder of St Ives' great tradition of lifesaving at sea.
Hotel St. Eia's commanding position in St. Ives means that you can enjoy sea views from your room, the comfort of our leather sofas in the lounge area or the roof garden (which is a bonus this family run hotel has that few hotels in St. Ives can match!). In addition, many of the sights mentioned above can be seen from Hotel St. Eia, making us an ideal choice for accommodation close to the Tate Gallery and all the other attractions St. Ives has to offer.
